James Bond visits Torre Etrusca – Villa in Tuscany
The new chapter in the saga, which will be on our screens next November, starts exactly where “Casino Royale” ended, and will feature Bond (Daniel Craig) crossing Austria, Italy and South America, where he seeks revenge for the loss of Vesper (Eva Green) in the previous film. This time he will be accompanied by the latest Bond girl, Camille (the ucrainian model, Olga Kurylenko), who will help him get over his loss and to track down Dominic Green (Mathieu Amalric), member of a mysterious organization and a businessman who will stop at nothing in order to lay his hands on all of the world's natural resources.
Some of the most spectacular scenes were filmed at Talamone, near Grosseto in Tuscany, at the end of April. The location for these scenes was at Torre Etrusca –
Villa in Tuscany, where Daniel Craig and Olga Kurylenko arrive in a yacht to meet Renè Mathis (acted for the second time by Giancarlo Giannini). In the sea at Talamone we will also watch the yacht as it escapes, chased by a helicopter. Torre Etrusca, a tower built by the spanish to defend themselves from the marauding saracens, stands on a peninsula close the Maremma nature reserve (Parco Nazionale della Maremma) and has its own private access to the sea. It has recently been transformed into a prestigious and refined home, where you can stay throughout the year.
