Located approximately 35 minutes outside of historic Charleston, South Carolina are Kiawah and Seabrook Islands South Carolina . These islands are both gated, beachfront communities offering a variety of activies. Both islands feature an assortment of vacation homes and villas available for vacation rentals throughout the year.

Kiawah Island has 5 premier golf courses, a reknowned tennis club, 30 miles of paved bike trails and is the home of the 5 Star/ 5 Diamond hotel, The Sanctuary. It offers 10 miles of pristine beach and many wildlife viewing areas. The island's nature center provides van, walking, boat, kayak, canoeing, and bike tours.

Seabrook Island is about 1/3 the size of Kiawah. This island features 2 excellent golf courses and an excellent racquet club. The island also has a marina offering fishing charters, boat rentals, and tours as well as an equestrian center that provides beginner, advanced, and sunset trail rides. This island has 3 miles of beachfront access.

Both islands have activities which appeal to someone in any group. And the islands are only a short drive away from the dining, attractions, and shopping of Charleston.
