What is the most owned tool in the world? The razor. The quest for the perfect shave has lead to the invention by a Brisbane man of a fog free mirror designed specifically for the shower.

“For a time I lived in Scotland in a tiny home in the hills. It was freezing cold and no matter what I tried I couldn't find a shaving mirror that wouldn't fog up” said Miles Blackwood the inventor of Mirrus. “I wanted to shave in the shower as I found by shaving in the shower I could get the smoothest shave in less than 45 seconds, compared to minutes at a hand basin. I wanted a fogless mirror that was light, portable, easy-to-use and that worked. I couldn't find anything on the market, so invented my own fogless shaving mirror.”

The unique design of the Mirrus defogs every time, indefinitely through simple physics of a quick splash of warm water in the patented collection cells. Traditional polymer coated fog-free mirrors absorb oil from the atmosphere and are only guaranteed to last approximately 90 days. The Mirrus fogless shaving mirror has no coatings to degrade, is virtually unbreakable and weighs less than 25 grams. “Most of the focus on achieving a better shave has been on the design of the blades.

Men can achieve a closer shave by shaving in the warmth of their shower, when their pores are more open. Most men can shave in less than 45 seconds in the shower using the Mirrus, compared to minutes without a shower mirror. This is equivalent to the time taken shampooing your hair. Of course in areas of water restriction, people may still choose to turn off the water taps when shaving or shampooing,” said Miles.
